Borrowed Days is one person in Bengaluru, building one story at a time.

My father worked for a bank, so we moved every few years: coastal Karnataka, the interior, small towns whose names most people have not heard. The heat was different in each place and the same in one way: nobody treated it as an emergency. Rickshaw drivers, farm labourers, women carrying water at noon, all of them worked through afternoons that would floor most office workers, and everyone around them called it normal. That is the thing I keep coming back to. The danger is not dramatic. It is an ordinary day nobody has the option to skip.

I spent twelve years at L&T Technology Services, the last several as a technical project manager, keeping scope, dates and quality honest for engineering clients. I left in August 2026 to build this.

Why one day? Because a day is the unit people can feel. A 2026 survey found that 74% of women platform workers in Delhi NCR got no heat support from their platform. Read that and you nod. Live one of their days, skip the toilet break because a booking is waiting, and come up short at 8 pm, and the number stops being a number.

The first story, Forty-Six Degrees, went live in September 2026. A second is in pilot conversation; a third is in build for December.

The stories are built with an AI coding partner, Claude, as a collaborator: I decide what the story is, what the numbers are, and what is fair to the people in it; it writes a lot of the code and helps me test. Every fact is checked by hand against its source. The energy used by a project this size is small, and I would rather be asked about it than not.
